			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My first week on program has gone really well, it’s odd how the products surprise me, even now, after all this time!&#160; I haven’t felt hungry between meals at all this week, and since adding the Fibre &amp; Herb product to my program, I’ve felt the difference.</p>
<p>There was a couple of days where I could have had an extra glass of water, we’ve had a very busy week in the office, so there was no surprise when a headache popped up a couple of times.&#160; </p>
<p>So, that’s going to be my target for week 2, even if I’ve had my 2ltrs of water, have another glass anyway, to be on the safe side!</p>
<p>My weight has gone down by *6½lbs and *-4½cms around my waist.   <br />BMI &amp; Body Fat % is being tracked via the right side columns.</p>
<p>‎*Weight loss claims are not typical. A balanced diet, regular exercise, adequate fluid intake and plenty of rest is essential for success.</p>

1 Onion (chopped/diced)<br />
3 Garlic Cloves (crushed/diced)<br />
¼ Red Bell Pepper (chopped)<br />
¼ Green Bell Pepper (chopped)<br />
¼ Yellow Bell Pepper (chopped)<br />
2 400g Tinned Chopped Tomatoes<br />
1 tbsp Tomato Purée<br />
3 Beef Stock Cubes (crumbled)<br />
Ground Pepper (to preference)<br />
1 tsp Paprika<br />
¼ tsp Chilli Powder<br />
¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper<br />
¼ tsp All Spice<br />
¼ tsp Cumin<br />
3 gloves<br />
Basil/Parsley (or preferred herbs)<br />
2 Medium Carrots (scrubbed and chopped)<br />
1 Cup Frozen Garden Peas<br />
1 Small Handful Mushrooms (optional – chopped)<br />
White Sauce (check recipe below)<br />
Cheddar Cheese (grated)<br />
Lasagne Sheets (dried/fresh)</p>
<p>Baking dish to hold at least 4 medium sized portions<br />
Preparation time –  55-60 minutes</p>
<p><span id="more-301"></span></p>
<p>In a pestle and mortar add the spices and pepper, crush and mix well then add the stock cubes to break down.   Pre-heat oven to 200<sup>o</sup>C.</p>
<p>Put garden peas and carrots into a pan of boiling water, on a medium-high heat, for 5-10 minutes.  Once softened a little, drain and add to the minced beef once the tomatoes have been added.</p>
<p>Add a splash of olive oil to a large wok or frying pan and fry off the onions a little.  Maybe add a little boiling water to cook faster.  Put the chopped peppers into the same pan (this is where you need to add the optional mushrooms too) and stir for a moment until softer.  Add the chopped or crushed garlic, stir a couple of times and then add the minced beef.  Cook until brown.</p>
<p>Add the mix from pestle and mortar to the pan and stir in evenly.  Then add the tomato purée, stir well, add the 2 tins of tomatoes.  Bring to boil, then reduce heat simmer, adding the herbs to preference.   Total minced beef cooking time (for frozen) is usually around 10 minutes.  Always taste your beef once cooked, to check if you need to add anything else to satisfy your taste buds!</p>
<p>White Sauce Recipe -<br />
Whilst the minced beef is simmering, add another saucepan to heat.  Put 300ml milk into the pan and whisk in 1 tbsp plain/corn flour and 25g butter, add salt and pepper to preference if required.  Keep whisking until boiling point then reduce to simmer.  Add 50g of your favourite cheese and whisk in until smooth and thickened.</p>
<p>Dampen the lasagne sheets if needed.  Turn off the heat for everything.</p>
<p>In the baking dish, add half of the minced beef, then 1 layer of lasagne sheets, making sure to cover all sides.  If you like, you can add some of the white sauce to the layer for faster cooking.  Then add the rest of the minced beef, and 1 last layer of lasagne sheets.  Poor the rest of the white sauce on top (or as much as possible).  You could add a touch more herbs, pepper and grated cheese to the top layer for extra flavour.</p>
<p>Place dish onto middle shelf of the oven and cook on 200<sup>o</sup>C for 35 – 45 minutes until golden.</p>
<p>(Option) If you like to wipe up your sauce, have a granary/seeded baguette sliced ready, on a separate plate, in the middle of the table.</p>

No time for workout today, unfortunately.  I&#8217;ve spent most of it packing for our trip to Swindon, washing and drying clothes constantly, housework and school runs.  No difference in the scales and I&#8217;m also going to leave the measurements until the end of the following week.  There isn&#8217;t going to be much difference in two days anyway.  It&#8217;s my birthday weekend in Swindon, with the rest of the family, lots of dining out and drinking on the cards.  So if I put anything back on, I will try my best to get it back off within the week.  It&#8217;s the end of my 30 day challenge, so weekly updates will follow.  Good luck to me and good luck to you! <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>Exercise: <br />Big Loser – Wii – 13 min workout A<br />Super Body Workout – Fit and Pump (weights only), 25 mins&nbsp;&nbsp; </p>
<p>Notes: Only one more day left of this challenge and then it’s changing to weekly updates.&nbsp; At least that will give me a little bit more time to do other videos and posts. Not that there’s going to be much of a difference, but I will be doing my 30 day weight and measurements tomorrow.</p>

<p>Notes: I’m glad that I’ve had a small amount of loss this week considering what I’ve put up with.  My blender blew so I had to buy a new one, admittedly this one is better, but it took two days to get it.  I’ve had problems with my knee so I’ve only been able to “walk” as my workouts.  There are two days left of this challenge and I’m hoping to do my first workout, in a week, tomorrow! <img class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile" style="border-style:none;" src="http://w8losschallenge.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/wlemoticon-smile1.png?w=468" alt="Smile" /></p>

<p>Lunchtime Shake:&nbsp; <br />Tandoori Marinated Chicken Breast Wrap<br />&nbsp; <br />Main Meal: <br />Cheese Roll<br />1 Mini Pork Pie<br />5 Small Prawn Crackers<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br />Snacks:&nbsp;&nbsp; <br />/</p>
<p>Fluids: <br />Water 4 x 300ml <br />Thermo Bev 0 x 250ml&nbsp;&nbsp; <br />Tea 1 x cup<br />Tango Orange 1 x can</p>
<p>Exercise:<br />Walking 2 x 25 min</p>
<p>Notes:&nbsp;&nbsp; <br />Went to visit family today so lots of sitting around.&nbsp; Mother in-law sorted the food out for one of the meals, hence the pork pie and the crackers! lol I was good though, I didn’t go mad, even though the other half kept saying “are you going to eat something”, repeatedly until I did! Argh! Men! <img style="border-style:none;" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smilewithtongueout" alt="Smile with tongue out" src="http://w8losschallenge.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/wlemoticon-smilewithtongueout.png?w=468"> I’m blender shopping early in the morning, I’ve got the smoothie marker I want reserved so I’m good to go!&nbsp; Back to normal shake meals tomorrow… whoop!&nbsp; Let’s hope I maintain at least this week, as I’ve not done many workouts, due to knee playing up, and the blender blowing up didn’t help much either.&nbsp; At least I stuck to one horribly tasting shake a day<img style="border-style:none;" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-winkingsmile" alt="Winking smile" src="http://w8losschallenge.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/wlemoticon-winkingsmile.png?w=468">hehe.</p>

Another busy day walking around.  At least I got to sit down for an hour in between my two thirty minute walks, as Kyle was at his Judo lesson, so we stayed to watch and video some of it.  The base of my blender has decided to pack in on me, I’ve got a hand whizzer but it’s old and doesn’t do it’s job properly any more.  Otherwise it’s back to food until I can get a new blender.
